Vacancy: Retail Sales Executive - Maldives

Alongside our retail and eCommerce presence, Oevaali Art Shop collaborates with over 90 leading hoteliers, resorts, corporations, and government entities in the Maldives, providing boutique support, corporate gifting, bespoke design solutions, and merchandise. Tasks & responsibilities

  • Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences, offering personalized product recommendations and styling advice.
  • Proactively approach customers on the sales floor to promote featured products, promotions, or special events, driving sales and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in regular sales training sessions to stay updated on product knowledge, sales techniques, and company policies, ensuring consistent and effective sales performance and achieving targets
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently at the cashier
  • Provide friendly and attentive customer service in-store, and facilitating in-store experiences
  • Ensure a pleasant shopping experience and maintain store ambiance
  • Assist in fulfilling online orders and coordinating with couriers
  • Record inventory levels and perform stock counts as needed
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints via email, phone, and social media
  • Maintain visually appealing shop displays to showcase products effectively
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization throughout the store
  • Perform end-of-day register closure and cash settlement duties
  • Packing and restocking


  • Bachelor's Degree in any field
  • Excellent written English and conversational English / Dhivehi to handle international and local customers
  • Strong initiative and willingness to learn in a dynamic, new environment
  • Positive "can-do" attitude with a proactive approach to tasks

Working Hours

Full-time shifts - 5.5 day working week; includes at least one weekend day and some evening shifts. 

  • AM Shift: 9:30 am to 6:30pm
  • PM Shift: 1:30pm to 10:30pm
