Folk Art Box

The Folk Art Box is a celebration of Maldivian island life.  Rooted in Raya Mansoor’s original black and white artwork ‘Folk’, this curation gathers crafted pieces that carry the memories of the islands and the songs of the sea: each one a small story, lovingly told.

The Art Box Collection is a celebration of storytelling through art: each box is inspired by an original painting from the Oevaali Art Shop studio. Thoughtfully curated by the artists, every box gathers crafted pieces that reflect the emotions, colours, and stories within each artwork.

Each Art Box captures a distinct mood and moment - a way of seeing and feeling; offering not just a gift, but a story to be opened, and a journey through the heart of Maldivian art and life.

  Drift away with the Waves Cuff; a story of the sea, told in golden curves. Crafted in polished stainless steel and finished in 18k gold, it is a reminder of home, of stories told by waves, and of the pull that always leads you back to the sea.

  In the spirit of Maldivian storytelling, the Sea Stories Pocket Notebook speaks of old island tales: stories passed from one generation to the next. Its brown leatherette cover features hand-drawn motifs that feel like pieces of memory.
  
  
• Seaglass Tila Bracelets
  

  In a palette of antique gold, olive green, white, and stone, the Sea Glass Tila Bracelet reflects the colours of island life: sand-worn shells, sunlit reefs, and weathered coral shores. Crafted with delicate Miyuki Tila beads, it is a reminder of the stories the ocean leaves behind.

• Folk Sarong
  The Folk Sarong brings to life Raya Mansoor’s original painting ‘Folk’ - a reflection of Maldivian island stories. The kanbili bird, patterned fish, sea leaves, and coral flow together, capturing the beauty of everyday island life. Crafted from lightweight, semi-sheer cotton voile, the Folk Sarong is a wearable story in itself.

  The Black Coral Pendant draws from one of the Maldives’ oldest sea legends: the tale of the great mālimi who sailed to the world’s edge and found the colossal enderi tree rising from the deep. It captures the mystery of the ocean’s edge, where stories are born and sea spirits linger. Crafted in polished stainless steel and finished in 18k gold.
